Overview:
UW Credit Union's retail branches are expanding, and our Member Sales & Service department is creating a Member Sales & Service Data Analyst role to support their growth and development.

Do you have a passion for using data to help solve problems and develop answers for business needs? Our Member Sales & Service Data Analyst is responsible for the design, development, maintenance, and delivery of analytic solutions for our retail branch teams.

You will leverage a variety of analytic methods, tools, visualizations, and modeling techniques to deliver insights to the Member Sales & Service leadership team. This is a great opportunity to partner with business units, stakeholders, and leadership to deep dive into processes and recommend data driven solutions while enhancing your modern cloud-native tool experience to help develop your career.

Responsibilities:
What You’ll Do
  • Be a dedicated resource to the Member Sales & Service department to support strategic planning and initiatives, improve organizational performance and advance department and organizational goals
  • Utilize data visualization products, SQL, and other query tools to analyze large quantities of data to gather understandings, develop actionable insights and measure progress
  • Identify data-driven business opportunities and deliver analytic solutions through consultations with various internal and external sources
  • Variety of project work that requires direct interaction with the retail business unit, understanding their processes and challenges and producing deliverables
  • Maintain and update existing reports and tools based on changes in strategic priorities, the external environment, underlying software, data structure changes or end-user workflows
  • Lead project improvements and coordinate analytic work involving the Member Sales & Service team
  • Support vendor management tasks and participate in new vendor evaluations
  • Provide feedback and code review to other data analysts in order to improve data quality.
  • Provide technical assistance for supported data products and remain current on advancements in analytic technologies


Qualifications:

What You’ll Need to Succeed


These skills and experiences are essential to your success:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or related field; relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of educational requirements
  • 2-3 years of database querying experience
  • 2-3 years of data analyst experience with experience in 2 or more of the following:
    • Code development using SQL
    • Performance measure development
    • Organization, analysis and modeling of multiple data sources
    • Development of data visualizations, dashboards, KPI’s, etc
    • Tableau development

These attributes and knowledge are preferred but not required:

  • Experience working with the following tools:
    • Snowflake
    • DBT
    • Azure
    • Python
    • DataOps / Agile experience
  • Certification in Dashboard design
